The EQUIP Foundation Canada was established in 2002 by Dr. John Hull. John was the Pastor at The Peoples Church in Toronto, Ontario for 8 years when John Maxwell invited him to lead EQUIP Leadership Inc. and move to Atlanta. John, with the help of Gil Scott, established the Board of Directors.

Founder: 

Dr. John C. Maxwell, best-selling author and speaker, is one of this generation's most respected experts on leadership. John Maxwell's years in local church ministry allowed him many occasions to visit missionaries and national Christian leaders around the world. It was during a missions-related trip that John was encouraged by an international Christian leader to take the best of his leadership materials and format it to fit a global audience. From that challenge and the affirmation of others, John launched EQUIP as a non-profit global mission ministry in 1996. 

What is EQUIP?


EQUIP's  'Million Leader Mandate' teaches biblical leadership principles. Leaders trained by EQUIP are given instruction and resources to teach and mentor other leaders, and so on. EQUIP Staff, Associate Trainers (pastors & Christian business leaders) & Partners are training tens of thousands of certified trainers in key nations, who in turn will train other leaders. The exponential result is millions of leaders trained. In its brief history, EQUIP has already engaged more than two million leaders around the world in its leadership development process. Associate Trainers teach such resources in a conference setting internationally, and Partners are encouraged to teach the Million Leader Mandate within their own sphere of influence. Canadian donations support leaders worldwide.
